During this series of events, a lot of energy is lost in the form of heat and sound, and even more energy is lost in the form of incompletely burnt gasoline. This is where the catalytic converter comes in. The catalytic converter actually burns the unburnt fuel that escapes along with the exhaust. If you were following along closely, you would realize that the average gas engine actually expends more energy burning the unburnt fuel that was meant to drive the car. Not efficient at all! It is no wonder the average fuel efficiency of an internal combustion engine is only 20%.

The important question now is, how can we as the consumers who are getting the short end of the stick modify these inefficient engines to gain more out of the precious gasoline we pay top dollar for everyday. We could invest in expensive hybrid vehicles, and yes, we would save some money. The problem is that the hybrids are rather expensive and would take years for us to get the return on investment. Car Running Using Water

If you’re wondering if a car can run using water is possible, then the answer is yes, it is. There is, however, a problem with this. It will need an additive – a petroleum-based additive such as diesel or petrol/gasoline – so that it can run properly.

You are probably better off when you are using water as an additive for the petrol/gasoline or diesel vehicle you drive now. Due to the present oil crisis and the ever spiralling cost of gas, you have probably heard a lot of talk about Hydrogen Car Kits and how to run a car on water. This electrolysis is a process where electricity is used to change a small amount of water into HHO or brown’s gas. As water is made of both hydrogen and oxygen the 2 hydrogen atoms get separated from the oxygen atom, basically converting the water into 2 flammable gases. The electricity needed for this is supplied by your cars battery.

This gas is then taken into the airflow on the intake manifold of your car where it is mixed with the regular gasoline from your fuel tank. The result is a very fine hydrogen enhanced mixture that burns much more thoroughly and efficiently. This in turn leads to better combustion, lower exhaust emissions, and great gas mileage improvements.

Now the next question I hear you ask is, are these hydrogen car kits expensive? Well the simple answer is NO. As I said I have been doing a lot of research and I have found several of these kits available for 0 or less.
